Honestly, just get started. I've created many machines and none have faced problems like this. "I heard Jayztwocent said it's heat sensitive. I think it's better to wait and see." Just want everyone to enjoy what they're doing. Not sure why some don't want to participate, but you do. You can either stay afraid and avoid action or take the chance. Nike had a saying... It sounds like your worries are taking over.
I've been testing a 4x8 kit from G.Skill 3600 paired with my Ryzen 9 3900x for nearly two years without any stability issues. XMP settings are around 1.35 for DRAM voltage, and the system voltage sits near 1.080. Of course, results can differ based on CPUs, boards, RAM, etc. This particular kit was also listed on the QVL for my motherboard. As long as voltages stay safe, I believe any noticeable wear or instability won't happen over time. "Silicon lottery" remains a factor, but overall performance should be stable. "Ryzen 3000" officially supports up to 3200, so higher speeds aren't guaranteed, though most 3000+ CPUs should handle at least 3600 with 1800 FCLK without problems. It was mainly challenging with Zen 1 and Zen+ models for boosting speeds.
