Hey guys,
everything alright?
I have a Ryzen 9 5900X with 24GB VRAM and 32GB RAM at 3600MHz.
For video editing in Premiere Pro, I’m considering these options:
- Two 32GB modules at 3600MHz (same brand, XPG), totaling 96GB — dual channel for the first 32GB and single channel for the rest.
- Four 16GB modules at 3200MHz or 3600MHz to boost dual channel performance but with less overall RAM.
I mainly use Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop, mostly in 4K 8-bit, and plan to move to 10-bit soon (with two cameras).
Which choice fits best?

The combination of 2x32 plus 2x8 is not equal to 96. Obtain a memory kit for the required capacity.

Obtain RAM sticks in one package for consistency. Many timing details aren't visible on the packaging, and mixing different sets leads to mismatches. Only matching the primary timings ensures reliability. Mixing causes problems and failures.
