I realize I’m not very smart, but I’m still using Norton on an old laptop (I renewed the subscription before I understood better). I don’t really want to completely remove it, but I need to use the Dark Souls Connectivity Mod. It’s a .EXE from an unknown site, and whenever I try to run it, Norton deletes it. (I know it’s safe, my friends are using it too.) If you want to help or try to assist, you can. Otherwise, I’m mostly just looking for someone to sympathize with me.
Pause Norton temporarily, or halt its automatic file scanning feature (which I really dislike).
Seek a reliable connection from a trusted contact. Avoid potentially harmful files.
