Hello, I am just starting with Dropbox. I want to sync my "My Documents" folder from my computer and a specific desktop folder so I can open both files when I use another device like my phone or laptop. The problem is that when I try to turn on the selective sync feature for the desktop folder, it gives errors because of where the folders are set up. Also, I want to move some files to the cloud only and delete them from my computer. One thing to note: I moved the Dropbox folder away from its usual spot because there isn't enough space on the C drive. My "My Documents" folder is also in a different place than where it usually goes; now it's on another part of the hard drive instead of the default one. I am using Windows 10, and here is a picture showing my problem. Please tell me how to fix this if possible, or explain why these steps might not work for me. Thank you very much.

If you move folders and files away from the default locations then you must "tell" Dropbox about the the new locations. FYI: https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integr...references And at the bottom of that link: https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integr...box-folder Caveat being some restrictions if a free or trial version is being used. However, I did not note any mention of such restrictions....

You can try using OneDrive—it's right in your Windows, so it comes with all the tools you need. It gives you just as much free storage like Dropbox does.
