He purchased it for $251.30. Is that a reasonable price? It's an older model but in good condition.
The Windows reinstall didn't auto-install drivers—why happened that?
Internet (LAN and Wi-Fi) isn’t working because drivers aren’t installed, so I can’t connect. I tried downloading drivers manually via HP’s site but it failed. Do you have a link to download drivers for this laptop? Or any software that works offline with driver lists? Thanks in advance.

Absolutely, the cost is reasonable. It's typical with Windows. If the drivers aren't available on HP's site, you might need to look elsewhere. Make sure you're using a wired connection and check for Windows updates.

I attempted that, but it won’t let me connect because there are no drivers installed and the adapter isn’t visible.

Windows is built to match the drivers it uses, but compatibility depends on architecture. 32-bit drivers won’t run on a 64-bit system.
