Driver issues persist with AMD graphics, causing frequent crashes or performance drops.
This was my earlier update from over a month ago. I made all the changes and everything functioned properly before. But recently, starting today, all my games are crashing unexpectedly. Some fail to load completely and crash right into windows, while others run briefly before also crashing—sometimes affecting Chrome or other background apps. There are no error messages. It began randomly today. I don’t want to repeatedly reinstall drivers or the whole operating system. Any advice on what to do next? My hardware remains the same: MSI B650i Edge Wifi, AMD 7800x3D CPU, Acer Predator Vesta II DDR5 32GB kit (16GB×2) at 6000Hz stable GPU, Gigabyte RX580, Cooler Master V750 Gold SFX SSD, Adata XPG GAMMIX S70 PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 1TB PSU.
oh yeah DDR5... looking forward to DDR6 ... they'll keep doing this until nothing works anymore won't they! Tbth i had a 580... i could never get it stable, laggy, driver crash every 20 minutes... was an MSI tho... returned the gpu after a week and never looked back... well, actually i did, 5500xt, same thing, exactly same thing. lesson learned, Nvidia / Matrox only from here on out...
I removed and reinstalled the graphics driver, and everything is now functioning properly. Someone can tell me why the driver gradually loses performance over time or how to begin fixing this issue without having to repeatedly uninstall and reinstall it. I don’t want this process to become a regular weekly task.
