Hi, I’m trying to describe my situation clearly. I recently faced problems with several games, mainly English language issues and difficulty explaining the problem properly. The main issue started in Sniper Elite 5, where I couldn’t quit normally and had to force close it. This caused my sound driver to crash, forcing me to restart the computer each time. The game was refunded.

Later, when I tried a new game called Deep Rock Galactic, everything worked until I joined an online lobby. Then the game froze again, with no sound and unresponsive windows. I’m stuck holding the power button. I’m unsure what’s causing this, but everything else seems fine. My system was upgraded to a 12th gen Intel processor, moved from AMD to Intel, and I did a clean Windows install on a new drive after formatting the old one. The system specs are RTX 3070, 12.7 GHz, H670, with M2 SSDs and two SATA SSDs.

Anyone know what might be behind this problem or if others have had similar issues?

Welcome to the forums! I'd first re-install your graphics drivers (a clean install, there's an option in the GeForce installer for that.) If that doesn't fix the issue I would try a different version of your sound driver. Are you using the onboard sound, or a PCIe Sound Blaster card (or similar)?

Hi, thank you very much uhm.. So ur question got me thinking. I am using onboard sound. I tried to recreate the error using my studio speakers instead of headphone which I would normally use playing games like this.. Now, with the studio speakers everything works as it should Im confused.. switched back to headphones and everything crashed. BRB restarting computer.. Update: There seems to be something seriously wrong with my roccat khan driver.. Ive wanted a wireless headset for long now, think i might just order one. Any suggestion? Big eared dude.
