When attempting to install the Intel I225 LAN Driver, it often fails. You recently upgraded your system with a new MOBO (ROG STRIX Z490E) and an i7-10700k processor, but the driver isn't downloading properly. Your Ethernet connection isn't working well, and your Wi-Fi performance is poor. It's been about 7 hours of troubleshooting so far.

Is the device listed in the device manager? What is its current state? These drivers typically install automatically without any additional setup in Windows, and the associated link should display correctly.

In Device Manager, both your Ethernet controller and an unidentified device appear with a yellow triangle indicator.

Confirm the update process works correctly and installs properly. Is this a new setup? I’ll perform a clean reinstall if any Windows updates are causing problems.

It kept failing and rolled back the update. A fresh installation seems to be resetting the PC.
