I'm working on a retro gaming PC build using parts I already own. I'm stuck installing Windows XP in ACHI mode and need to add an ACHI SATA controller driver for the XP preboot setup. I've got the right driver file ready but am trying to load it via F6 on a Fujitsu D2812-A11 motherboard with a Core 2 Duo E8600 CPU. The issue is that iaStor.sys keeps triggering errors (4101 and 4113 on line 2113) regardless of the driver I try. What ACHI driver should I use, and why aren't others loading?

Check for a Storage "Legacy mode" in the BIOS if you can't locate the correct driver.

All drives operating in PATA mode function properly, but it’s slower than ideal. I need faster performance, especially for high-speed 10,000 RPM HDDs and an SSD running Windows 7. This setup is meant for speed, not compromise.
