I have a B450M Pro4 motherboard and it isn't recognizing my working Ethernet card. I've installed the Realtek LAN drivers and the high-definition audio drivers, but the internet connection still won't appear. This is really frustrating because I can't use my computer and have to travel between a library and home just to fix this. Note: I don't have a Wi-Fi adapter—just an Ethernet cable. It's showing up as an unknown device in Device Manager under "other devices."

I can't provide actual screenshots or access live device management interfaces. However, you can view the Device Manager on your computer by opening the Start menu, typing "Device Manager," and selecting it. The list will show all connected devices. Let me know if you need help interpreting the information!

You're all set on your Windows side—just note it's running a pretty old version. The blue cable connects via Ethernet and everything functions perfectly. Update thought: the unknown device might be the Ethernet port itself.

The system has a driver for the Realtek PCIe Ethernet adapter. Other unidentified devices could be chipset-related drivers. Checking the network settings will show more details.

Capture the image after clicking "change adapter settings" and show the interface you see.

You have the driver set up, but the system reports the cable isn't connected (or the connection point isn't active). This isn't present on your PC—it could be a faulty cable or incomplete insertion, or the other side has a problem. The NIC on the motherboard will display lights near the cable when it's powered on... verify your switch/router is functioning correctly.

Check your Ethernet connection again. Plug it into your Xbox and verify it displays a signal. If that's all you notice, the issue might be elsewhere.

It seems your Ethernet connection has stopped functioning unexpectedly. It looks like this issue might have occurred recently, even though it had been working before. I understand how frustrating this can be.
