I just purchased a 4060ti and upgraded from a 3060ti. It might not have been the best decision, but why not? I'm still learning about PCs, so I didn't remove the old 3060ti drivers or anything. I just installed the new one without changing them. Now I have the old drivers still installed. I downloaded the necessary ones for my 4060ti—should I delete the old drivers from my files? Any advice would be appreciated.
Nope, nothing special you need to do. You did the correct thing, just download the new drivers and there you go They aren't really separate for each card, its one big bundle for all supported cards. IF you run into any weird issues or glitches you should use DDU ( Display driver uninstaller ) to do a complete reinstall of the drivers but this is very rare when upgrading, especially with such a modern upgrade from the 3000 to 4000 series. It's essentially the same drivers again, just a bit different. Best of luck!
Just keep track of things instead of wiping files, because that can really ruin a Windows setup. Always use the uninstall option.
