Hello! I noticed your Drive C is getting full quickly when you install programs on Drive D. It seems like the space on C is being used up fast, even though you had plenty of room. Maybe the new files are taking up more space than expected. Checking your drive usage might help identify what’s consuming the space. Let me know if you need further guidance!
since certain files require Steam or your operating system to function, the only way to completely install a program or game on a separate drive is by using a portable version that runs on non-system drives. I don't know if games like Alien can even do that.
It wasn't meant to imply there were no other games doing that—it was simply an illustration.
Additionally, the application could have added libraries to C. Items like c++ redist are often included.
I actually put Alien Isolation on the DVD I just purchased. I haven’t entered the code on Steam yet, so... I’m not sure.
5GB is quite a lot for devices with limited SSD storage. It’s strange I keep digging through files to make room on my 256GB drive... no clear reason, but it bothers me when the space fills up halfway. Edited September 14, 2015 by Godlygamer23
That's the approach I take, yet I'm having trouble locating these files.
