I recall my first experience with Dark Souls arriving around Christmas. I never knew much about the game, but it was released recently. Initially, I wasn't sure if it was an RPG or something else since I didn’t enjoy those types. I decided to try it out and quickly found myself frustrated by the difficulty, questioning whether it was even an online experience (the ground messages confused me). Eventually, I reached the gate at Undead Parish. I managed to defeat the bull but struggled with opening the gate. Suddenly, I received an alert claiming an invasion. At first, I felt terrified, imagining a worst-case scenario like being assaulted and losing my progress. However, the intruder was friendly, assisted me in opening the gate, and provided a weapon. My initial playthrough was completely unexpected and challenging.
You're just beginning with DS2, but it took you three hours to reach the Heide's Tower of Flame. It's actually quite enjoyable!
