Dreamhack excitement is high—who do you think will come out on top? [CS]
It's disappointing that even during an offline event there are still connectivity problems.
This has to be quite the unpredictable event so far. I’m sharing my perspective here. The main players vying for the title include the usual suspects—NiP, NiP, Titan, VP. It seems they haven’t been performing at their best since Dreamhack Winter, so I doubt they’ll secure victory. Navi could also be a strong contender after their impressive win against top teams during Starladder. I’m leaning toward NiP claiming the title, which fits the usual fan expectations. It might end up being a clash between NiP and VP, or possibly Navi versus VP in the final. Titan is likely to be eliminated early, probably in the quarterfinals. Overall, it’s going to be a tight competition.
[WARNING: Spoilers ahead]
NiP has shown decent form recently, though they lost some key online events like Faceit. Their recent training session before Dreamhack Summer suggests they’re in good shape. The main rivals at this stage appear to be Navi or VP, with Titan probably dropping out early. NiP should aim for the top spot, as it’s the usual path for loyal supporters. Realistically, I think NiP will win, which is what fans expect.
VP has consistently defeated NiP in recent matches, especially after their strong performance at EMS One Katowice. They should handle NiP well. Navi has been a solid performer, with notable wins like the Golden 3 and strong lineups. I’m not sure how Navi will fare against NiP if they meet, but it’s likely challenging. Titan is expected to struggle, possibly falling in the quarterfinals. The tournament promises to be close and exciting.
I expect NIP, VP, NAVI and either SK or Titan in the semi-finals. SK stands out as a strong contender, while Titan seems capable of either excellent or solid performance, making outcomes unpredictable. Na'Vi recently claimed victory in a LAN event and is generally a solid team with valuable offline tournament background. I'm also a fan of the competition, especially between NiP and VP, whose consistent performances both online and offline are impressive. This is my personal take without much detail.
