I recently acquired a new CPU for my desktop (refer to the specifications below). After installing it and turning on the PC, there was no display, connected USB devices remained inactive, and a yellow-orange LED near the RAM slots was illuminated. Despite trying various configurations—switching all two RAM cards across all four slots, reinstalling the old CPU, disconnecting cables, removing the graphics card, plugging in the monitor via HDMI and DPs on both motherboard and graphics card, attempting to reset CMOS by removing the battery and short-circuiting CLRTC pins—I still faced the same issues. After an hour of searching and testing different settings, nothing improved my situation. The PC was fully operational just ten minutes after the new CPU was installed and powered on. All components—RAM, motherboard, CPU—functioned correctly. I disconnected everything connected to the outside of the tower, ensuring no thermal paste residue remained on the CPU pins or in the socket before installation, and verified no pins were bent. The only power I unplugged was the CPU power, but I didn’t touch anything else on the motherboard during removal or installation (except the heat sink fan). I’m quite frustrated with this problem.

Specs:
MB: RoG Strike B350-F Gaming CPU (previous): AMD Ryzen 5 1600
CPU: New: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
RAM: GSkill Ripjaws 8 GB DDR4 (X2)
GC: NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
PS: EVGA Supernova 550 G3

You're unsure about getting it to function. Before using the new CPU, you need to restart with the old one and update the BIOS.
