Hey there, I've been dealing with my RAM for about four months now. Used to have a 16GB dual channel Patriot kit at 4000MHz that worked well for a year before things started to fail, even when idle. It didn't matter if I used one stick or another slot, or changed the DOCP settings. Once I switched to a 32GB Crucial kit at 3600MHz, the issues stopped for about a month before they began again. This time it messed up my Windows installation and I can't keep the system running long enough to reinstall properly. My build was pretty recent—August 2021. I have a Ryzen 7 5800X, Asus Tuf Gaming X570 plus (latest BIOS), Crucial ballistix 32GB 3600, an Asus ROG 750W gold PSU, and the RTX 3070. I reseated the CPU last night but nothing changed. I ordered a new Asus Dark Hero motherboard and a 5800X3D to help pinpoint the problem, since I really need my PC for uni. I think it might be a motherboard issue, but I'm still trying to figure it out. Thanks!

Check if your system uses the newest BIOS version. Have you explored another storage device before?

Bios remains current, but the connection to my main Windows drive was lost and caused an immediate crash when I chose a different drive for the installation.

I just reviewed the negative feedback about your PSU. Many users report stability problems and long-term failures. A customer in Italy shared how it completely ruined his X570 motherboard. It might be wise to consider a different power supply as well.
