I'm feeling really frustrated. A few weeks ago I reinstalled my laptop and opened my DAW, only to hear excessive clicks and pops even though everything was working before. I tried fixing it for over a week without success, so I ordered a replacement—but it has the same issue. I've checked everything: drivers, bios updates, disabling devices, changing settings, but nothing helped. The audio quality is still poor. LatencyMon showed spikes for nvlddmkm.sys, dxgkrnl.sys, and wdf01000.sys on the new laptop, but not as severe as before. On the old laptop (Asus Strix G15), it worked fine until I reinstalled it. I'm unsure what to do next—should I return the new one? Or is there a solution that could fix this quickly? This situation is really upsetting. Is this related to NVIDIA? Should I consider another brand besides ASUS? A faster fix would be great.

All tasks beyond my capabilities. Problems began after reinstalling everything, correct? Might the issue lie with your DAW? Have you tested a slightly older version?

Not limited to Daw, certain elements become apparent even with standard window usage

The new laptop should function properly without problems in its original condition. If issues appear, contact support under warranty. For problems introduced after installing additional software, follow these steps: install software A, run a check for issues, then install software B and repeat the test. Note that audio/video codec packs have previously affected Windows systems in similar situations, so consider trying a different DAW version.

You can try Windows Server? DPC Latency is my realm and the lowest you can get it is with Windows server (optimised for DPC) or Windows 7. But theres no guarantee it'll fix your issues. One thing i'll suggest is enabling MSI mode for any audio drivers you need - and also upping the quality settings in Windows Sounds. But if its suddenly started happening with everything the same that may not be your issue.
