The issue appears to have disappeared, possibly due to your ISP addressing it. This might be a recent fix they implemented. I currently enjoy a fiber connection with Trooli, achieving 500mbps download and 200mbps upload. Uploading seems fine overall, but downloading from certain sites like MediaFire, CatBox, and DownloadFreeBSD consistently lags—often around 500kb/s or less. Even with a VPN, speeds remain erratic across devices, networks, and DNS servers, persisting even after reboots or changing IP addresses. I’m open to any guidance and appreciate detailed info to resolve this odd situation. I’m comfortable using command line tools and have access to both macOS and Linux.
It isn't the conclusion since identical actions can't be mimicked by any one person I've asked, and this began occurring at the same time across several sites.
ISP can influence the issue location. A strong, reliable ISP should not be the cause, though I remember the struggles I faced with an unknown provider. My pings were slow and the bottlenecks were tough. Your ping looks reasonable. Is there significant packet loss? How would you test it? If you send 50MB/s but most packets are lost, only the successful ones will reach you. Try running ping -n 100 8.8.8.8 (GoogleDNS) to perform 100 checks. Use ping -t 8.8.8.8 until you interrupt it with Ctrl+C. Save the results in c:\pinglog.txt and share if needed. Also check the Lost packets percentage.
