Downloading new PC drivers
Hi everyone, next week I’m setting up my new PC. The store can assist with building the hardware but won’t help with installing Windows or downloading drivers. Could you let me know what files or programs I should download?
When accessing the MSI B550 Tomahawk drivers site, you’ll see a specific setup process. You don’t necessarily need to download everything at once; it depends on your needs. Using a LAN cable is fine for internet access, but it may affect performance if you skip downloading the LAN drivers.
Usually Windows handles most installations on its own. Only GPU and possibly chipset drivers might need manual setup. Avoid installing AMD SATA/storage drivers—they’re often unreliable on Windows 10. Microsoft’s generic drivers work fine and don’t require changes. (Note: After everything is set up, consider updating your BIOS, but verify it matches your motherboard and CPU.) It’s not essential unless you’re using new boards, particularly with Ryzen chipsets.
