Download very slowly.
I've been using my PC for about three to four months now. I've observed that the download speeds aren't aligning with what my internet connection offers. I'm running Windows 10 and rely on Wi-Fi since I don't have an Ethernet port. My system specs are B-450M, Ryzen 5 3600X, GTX 1660 Super, and 500GB SSD—though I haven't tested the speeds yet, I suspect the SSD isn't the bottleneck.
Checked speeds on different gadgets to see if the problem lies with your computer, router, or internet service provider.
Bytes and bits are often confused. Speed tests display download and upload speeds in megabits per second (Mbps), while the actual data being transferred appears as kilobytes per second (KB/s) or megabytes per second. Remember, one byte equals eight bits. A speed of 4.11 Mbps translates to roughly 0.51 MB/s or about 510 KB/s, which matches the download rate shown.
I usually get upwards of 40Mbs on my Xbox 1 S. It is also through WIFI and set up in the same room. Hmm okay. So what your saying is that my speed is fine. The displayed speed on my pc compared to my Xbox varies greatly. I've got it mounted off the ground with WIFI antennae mounted. Any thoughts? I have also see terrible speeds for steam, despite me personally seeing speeds well over a Gigabit a second.
Check the advertised maximum for your Xbox or clarify if it refers to your modem.
The ISP's strategy is clear—every device is performing equally, indicating no issues on any end.
