Download speeds on Steam declined sharply.

Over the past couple of months my Steam download speeds have fallen from 15MB/s to just 2MB/s. I’m trying to figure out why and don’t see any restrictions in the settings. Since I’m also using an Ethernet connection, I’m wondering if there’s a solution to improve this. It’s becoming quite frustrating waiting so long for files to load. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm currently unable to run a speed test. However, you can easily check download speeds using a speed test website or app on your preferred device.

Both my PC and phone are experiencing slow speeds—20Mb down and 11Mb up on each device. The problem isn’t limited to Steam; it’s affecting all of them.

Restart the network drivers. If this fails, reinstall Windows. Also verify your download servers.
