10900k Asus Z590-E motherboard, 32GB DDR4, 3200 CPU (only reaches 20% usage). Connection speed is clearly just 1Gbps. Drivers are up to date. Router is an Asus RT-AX82U Speed Test PC.
Connected directly through Ethernet on a minimal cable might be possible. No other processes are active; I've checked Task Manager for the past hour and Ethernet speeds stayed below 500kbps except during testing. This pattern has persisted for more than a year now.
Absolutely, I'm successfully accessing high-speed connections directly through the network.
Verify network adapter configuration and settings based on MTU size. If optimal performance isn't achieved, reset to default settings. For testing speeds between devices such as PC and phone, tools like OpenSpeedTest are available at OpenSpeedTest Server: OpenSpeedTest-Server
It seems the network settings were reset or QoS disabled, which likely resolved the issue. The odd part is only my main PC throttled while others stayed normal. It's been a long time since I noticed these numbers, and it's strange I haven't had this router for the whole year I've been dealing with this problem.
