I updated my power plan to balanced recently, aiming for better performance without constant high usage. I usually download games overnight while sleeping. Recently, I noticed my PC shuts down during downloads on GoG Galaxy or Ubisoft Connect, stopping mid-process. It seems unusual—could this be a bug or something new? How can I prevent it from happening?

When your PC is scheduled to sleep, any active download will be halted. To ensure it never powers down automatically, follow these steps: Launch Settings, tap the Start button and choose Settings (or use Win + I), move to System Settings, then select Power & Sleep. In the left panel, click Power & Sleep. Adjust Sleep Options: in the right side, find Screen and Sleep settings. Under Sleep, pick Never for scenarios like battery or when connected.

You can modify your Windows settings or control panel to determine when the screen turns off or goes to sleep after a specific duration.

Turn off Sleep entirely, keeping all other settings as desired. The monitor should remain on during your sleep period. Your downloads will continue uninterrupted.

The problem isn't related to downloads failing. For any further help, keep titles clear and accurate.
