Hey everyone, just moved in and started testing the wireless network setup. At first I was hopeful because my phone showed decent speeds, but when checking on my PC they were much slower. I've tried several fixes: updated the adapter, uninstalled/reinstalled it, cleared DNS, updated BIOS, switched to Wi-Fi 5G, and reset the network. I've attached a screenshot of the system info. Any extra tips would be appreciated. Also, since I'm renting the equipment, I won't be able to use Ethernet, and I've confirmed speeds by testing download games on both devices.
Are there any PC shops nearby that sell a basic 15$ Wi-Fi 6 dongle? You can try booting in Safe Mode with Networking and check if the numbers match.
It might just be due to the Wi-Fi router being placed in a poor location on the computer. If it's trapped by interference materials, speed will likely drop significantly.
During the speed tests, confirm you're linked to the same server. Various servers can cause significant speed variations. Confusing point: does your Wi-Fi card have an antenna connected?
