Avoid connecting a cable to the GPU if it's not necessary.

It shouldn't completely deactivate the card. It may still draw power from the PCIe port, though it won't start properly—often causing the system to freeze during boot or displaying an error message in the operating system.

MacOS doesn't support RTX, which is why. I prefer not to frequently switch GPUs.
