Blizzard launched the somewhat debated WCS system. There are definitely moments when I’d like to stream games like Dreamhack and IEM at the same time. On the other hand, running multiple tournaments lets me always catch matches that catch my eye. I often skip PvP matches.

There are plenty more subjects on Dota 2 similar to this. It’s hard to stay afloat amid the sheer number of competitions top teams face right now; think about the early days of joinDota and The Defense.

I believe the issue has grown worse recently as more groups adopt an international format. This complicates online gatherings and pushes larger teams to attend LAN events, which are expensive, time-consuming, and exhausting. I’m not certain if League faces a comparable challenge.

Best to log a few activities throughout the year and dedicate the rest to learning, growth, and promotion. Saving energy is important—especially since people already know you and you’re not risking your income.
