I received KF552C40BBK2-16 - 16GB (2 x 8GB) FURY Beast, DDR5 5200MHz, CL40, 1.25V RAM. Enabling DOCP causes instability; I can't even install Windows with it. The voltage looks correct at 1.25V. I’m considering returning it but don’t want the hassle of an RMA since it’s my only DDR5 unit. Should I go for an RMA or try raising the voltage to see if it works? Is it safe to increase it to about 1.35V?

Yes, you can return the motherboard or RAM kit. It's stable at 1.35V, but if 5200MT/s fails at 1.25V, it's unlikely to work even at 1.435V (the max for many PMICs). Your exact board and CPU would help more.

Some reports suggest Ryzen boards may not support XMP/DOCP features, so manually adjusting frequency, voltages, and timings could help. If that fails, consider returning the item for repair—start with RAM, then move to board, and finally CPU if neither resolves the issue.

I haven't checked for a longer duration, but it looks like my system stays stable when I manually adjust the settings to standard values. Just to clarify, the ratings are also consistent from DOCP, which is confusing. Right now the timing is 40-40-40-80 at around 1.25V, though I adjusted it to 1.26V just in case. So far, this setup seems the most stable I've experienced with RAM overclocking. It might be due to my RAM not being fully supported by the motherboard yet, which could explain why DOCP behaves differently there. I made an error choosing from an unsupported list; if it were DDR4, it wouldn't have affected things since it's been a while and many are supported. But with DDR5 still emerging, it does matter more. Thanks for the advice—I might never have thought about changing timings manually because I assumed DOCP would handle it similarly.
