The issue arose because it was linked to a different monitor than the laptop. I unplugged it and it started running from the laptop's screen. This was mentioned in my previous update.

This version of Doom 3 is available through Xbox Game Pass, but it won’t function on older Windows versions because the software needs newer operating system updates. We should stop suggesting it now as it isn’t compatible.

I’m not running Windows XP; I’m using Windows 11, which appears to be the newest version available. I successfully got it working and provided an explanation. Refer to earlier posts for details.
