Two years ago I purchased a custom PC running Windows 7. It’s genuine. Now I’ve swapped it for an SSD and want to erase all data without using a CD key. There’s no need to spend money on a new Windows CD key.

You can locate your key in the registry through available tutorials. I recommend giving that a try.

Additionally, there is a tool that can check your entire system for keys (including games and apps).

Magic jelly bean works well. You need the product code. I use a version named Produkey because it detects more keys and is portable.

Some builders include a saved copy of your operating system on a secret partition. You can activate it during boot by pressing specific keys. Refer to your user guide for details.
