You need to fully understand a game or get the most enjoyment out of it. What does that really mean? Just start playing, enjoy while it's entertaining, and when it loses interest, stop. If you truly want to experience the story, watch it on YouTube. It helps avoid getting stuck in the sunk cost fallacy—feeling pressured to finish something you already invested time and money in. Treat games as temporary escapes, something you take for a short time and then move on from.
As I've grown older, it's become simpler for me to let go of things that no longer bring me joy as much as I once did. I've started embracing the mindset of "well, it's fine, just drop it and look for something better." Isn't it true that the older you get, the clearer the gap between what you enjoy and what you don't?
