I need to get rid of that purple stuff behind all the words in my PDF file. It's really hard work just taking out every single purple spot manually. I am using Windows 10. First, I don't get Dietrich von Segrern's complicated idea. Please tell me something like I'm only five years old. Second, look at this picture (the GIF below). This is my PDF file called BEK. I can't take out the purple background using colors CMYK = 16, 16, 4, and no green or blue. Third, here is another PDF called McColgan with a similar mistake. I can't get rid of that grey background on this one using CMYK = 0, 0, 0, and only full black.
Try using the GIMP image editor to change colors to alpha, which means being transparent. If you have a white background it will stay white, and if your background is black it stays black. You can find more info at www.gimp.org here is a small guide: https://smallbusiness.chron.com/replace-...52936.html
Try using the GIMP image editor to change colors. Make sure you select an alpha color, which means it has no color and is completely transparent. If your background is white, the result will be white too. If your background is black, it will turn black instead. Go here for more info: https://www.gimp.org
