I upgraded my RX 580 and gave it to a cousin. I faced issues where every driver install caused it to freeze or go black, forcing me into safe mode just to try drivers. It still doesn’t boot properly, even after reinstalling multiple times. In Task Manager and NZXT Cam it isn’t detected at all. The problem also appears on his PC, though I’m unsure what I did before. I used my SSD as a boot source—it works fine for games. Need assistance; I’ve been working on this for about three hours. From what I recall, older drivers like Adrenalin 23.4.2 were the cause, but they don’t work now. Also, I’m seeing an error code 192 during installation.

Windows doesn't support installing drivers in safe mode. If possible, retrieve the 580 and reinstall it, then restart, use DDU to remove the display driver, power off the PC, install the new card, and attempt to boot again. Watching YouTube tutorials on the DDU process is helpful, especially when switching between AMD and Nvidia graphics cards. Keep in mind that GPU issues can stem from the card itself or the system it's connected to. Make sure both devices run DDU before installing a new card.

I already resolved it, DDU in safe mode then graphics always stuck on black. I installed drivers by changing my 1600 and 580 to a 2200g and applied the necessary ones. It worked and took me three days to troubleshoot Windows while my 580 still had problems but everything is now fine.
