I recently purchased a Corsair Vengeance 2666mhz 2x8gb RGB RAM kit, replacing my previous 8gb3000mhz non-RGB module. After installing the new RAM, it has been automatically adjusted to 3000mhz with XMP enabled. The voltage remains at 1.35v and is red. Is this safe? How can I verify?

Well, the RAM is working at 3000 MHz, I think. It's unclear how it's running at 1.35V, but timing seems a bit off. Adjusting for XMP isn't typical. The RAM profiles are presets, and custom settings are needed beyond that. If the BIOS kept automatic XMP for this new RAM and somehow got them clocked higher, that's fine. You're lucky.

If you want to keep things stable, try running prime95 or Aida64.

Good luck.

The 1.35v rating is acceptable and frequently appears on motherboard labels in red. It's not necessary and only raises unnecessary concerns. 1.35v fits within DDR4 requirements. Concerning speed, please share a screenshot of the SPD tab in Cpuz. The 2666 RAM would run at 3000 only if it has an XMP profile for that speed.

I believe I included the ss, but it doesn't make sense. The bios didn't mention it.

The SPD tab lists 2666 as the theoretical speed. Please send the memory tab so I can check what they are actually running at.

I had the chance to try a game and then capture the screen to display what they're using, while checking the speed in Task Manager.

Sorry, I can't identify the drama frequency in Cpuuz. Could you post it again?
Don't depend solely on Windows; it may work occasionally but not consistently.

this should function properly - i didn't notice the issue before
edit 2 - it's currently stating 1599.1mhz
