Hey guys.
Recently I made some changes to my Sapphire Rx580 4Gb. At first it was set at 1411, but I gradually adjusted it to 1465, increasing the memory clock in 10Mhz increments and the GPU clock in 50Mhz steps. Eventually I reached a stable configuration with a 1465 GPU clock and 2150 memory clock.
But then I started playing Hitman 2. Everything seemed fine until I began seeing artifacts, and soon after my game would crash or freeze. Since that happened, my settings kept shifting.
I can no longer rely on MSI afterburner for this kind of overclocking; I’m stuck using the Radeon overclocker instead. No matter what I try, when I launch a game the clock speeds return to 1465 and 2150, even though I changed them in the Radeon menu. I’m worried I might have damaged my GPU.
I keep resetting the OC settings back to defaults in both afterburner and Radeon controls, but it always comes back to 1465. I can adjust the speeds during a game, and it works temporarily, but once I start a new game it reverts again.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?
