Does turning off and restarting my laptop make it slow?
Hi everyone, so here is a problem with my ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX582 laptop that slows down when I take it off the charger or put it to sleep and then plug it back in. Here is how it usually looks: 1. I unplug the laptop, close the lid 2. I move somewhere (usually from school to home), plug this laptop in again, open up the lid, and start playing a game of some sort 3. Before I was getting 60fps before (I have a 60hz screen), now it's locked to 30fps. If I boot up Minecraft for some reason it's 50fps. My specs are: i7-12700H/16GB/RTX 3060m 95W I've tried many different things, such as disabling Battery Boost in GeForce Experience, uninstalling the software and reinstalling the graphics driver, but none of those have worked. The only thing left for me to do every time is restart the laptop, which is very annoying. I think there might be some software on my system saying that the laptop is still running on battery power even after I plug it back in. I should also mention that I have an ASUS battery care setting on, which limits charging to 80 percent of the max battery capacity. Any help would be much appreciated. Happy to provide more information if needed. Thanks!
That's actually okay because it has a big screen, right? I'm not into anything that goes higher than 1080p on a laptop since even though they've made cool ways to keep things cold over the years, it just isn't my style. I like other options better, like... well, nothing for now lol. Anyways, you can get that kind of refresh rate with a big panel, but maybe it likes gaming at home instead of outside your house lol. I don't play games at 60Hz anymore anyway. My best choice is 120Hz because my Predator Helios 300 was like that back in the day.
