MSI A520M-A motherboard paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X CPU and an RX 580 GPU. Experiencing issues after upgrading from Ryzen 5 2600 to 5600. PC fails to start, VGA light remains active. BIOS update didn't resolve the problem. All components seem working properly. Need assistance.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
MSI A520M-A PRO motherboard, Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, and an RX 580 GPU.

All the components are fully functional.
We're going to need a little more info. When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
I'm having this problem when I change from ryzen 5 2600 to 5 5600.
You're advised to update the BIOS with the older processor, clear the CMOS and then drop the latter processor onto the socket.
Moved thread from Cases section to Systems section.
