I was just beginning and still learning about overclocking. I began using speedfan after I boosted my CPU. My idle GPU temperature stayed around 50C (Strix 750 Ti with fans off). Recently, I was fixing a friend’s computer and needed some components from my own machine. This reset my BIOS back to its original settings and because I didn’t create a profile (I’m not sure if that’s possible), all my adjustments were lost. I was too tired to tweak everything, so I left it at the defaults. My GPU has never been overclocked before.

When speedfan started, my GPU temperature was 36C which felt unusual. After a short while, I re-optimized the CPU (1.2V) and turned on XMP for RAM, and now my idle GPU temperature is back to 50C. My maximum GPU and CPU temperatures remain unchanged.

Can adjusting the CPU voltage influence GPU temperatures? Does this indicate I made an error during the overclocking process?
