I recently purchased a new computer and frequently need to restart it for various reasons. Sometimes the games slow down or encounter bugs or crashes, and rebooting helps resolve these problems. However, I'm curious—does it harm a computer to restart multiple times each day? Thanks for your guidance.

Restarting isn't necessarily harmful, except when the system keeps shutting down repeatedly during operation.
For a brand-new machine, check for issues and consider returning it to the seller if needed.

This phrase refers to restarting the system by turning it off and on again during operation.

powering off during operation isn't restarting it, it simply disconnects the connection and can cause damage in multiple ways. Data loss or corruption is highly probable.

I believe you should investigate the freezing problems and crashes first, since it seems unlikely to be a software bug.

There are multiple methods to restart your PC. You can use the power button icon that appears when you click on the Windows flag, which is recommended. Alternatively, press the power button and then press control plus alt delete simultaneously; this gives you two options—click the circle at the bottom right for a restart, or right-click on the game in Task Manager to end its process.

You can also type "view reliability monitor" into the search box and select the reliability option to see how many times the PC has crashed.

If you believe it is a new machine, take it to the place where you purchased it. These crashes shouldn’t occur, so ask them to allow you to use the games in the shop so you can demonstrate the issues.

Don’t know your country? Don’t let the shop convince you it’s not faulty. I once had a new PC that kept crashing, so I left it and the game disc at the shop. When I returned, they told me it had been used many hours without a crash. I opened the games save folder I set to save every 10 minutes, but there were no saves—clearly they hadn’t used it properly.

Thank you, review my previous discussion about the various Windows issues I've encountered following game crashes. Perhaps you could assist, though I'm thinking about reaching out to the manufacturer as well.
