I've learned that adjusting the voltage on your GPU can boost performance and reduce heat. This method is effective for improving frame rates and cooling down your system. It's a good idea if you're looking to enhance your RX 580 OC's temperature.

Assists FPS when temperature limits are maintained, though this also relies on many factors beyond just voltage.

Undervolting only boosts FPS when your card can't sustain its full clock speed because of power or temperature constraints. It also reduces power usage, temperatures, and noise, which is always appreciated. Have you tried running GPUz to check if these factors are limiting performance? I assisted someone with undervolting their RX580 in that thread. You’ll find the necessary information there to begin. As mentioned in the linked discussion: undervolting means lowering the voltage for a specific frequency below the auto or default settings (this applies to both CPUs and GPUs). Manufacturers like AMD, Nvidia, or Intel can't test every chip individually to create an ideal curve. They usually evaluate multiple chips, accept some variation, and set a general range. Depending on luck, you might adjust your chip's voltage significantly above or below stock levels without changing its frequency.
