Does Prime95 function according to its intended design?
I just performed a thermal test in Prime95 version 26.6 with small FFTs.
Initially, everything appeared fine, showing temperatures above average as expected (around 80°C, which is in the gray area but okay).
Later, I decided to do other tasks while it ran. About 20 minutes later, I noticed the temperatures jumped sharply to 87–93°C and remained constant until I stopped the test.
The fans are still running at maximum speed as before.

Yes, it’s normal—starting gently and then delivering intense thermal loads on your CPU, which suggests you likely have an Intel i7 processor.
And you should apply the higher temperatures as actual values during thermal testing with Prime95.
And you should apply the latter temperatures as actual values during thermal testing with Prime95?
