Hey everyone, lately my computer gets stuck forever when I shut down games from Steam that are playing on an external SSD. Things work fine while gaming, but the problem only happens with steam when using an external drive. If I use GOG or Epic instead of steam, everything works okay. The external SATA SSD is connected to a Sabrent adapter plugged into a USB3 port. I already checked my disk for errors, reinstalled steam, updated all drivers, and checked power settings, but nothing fixed it. Thanks so much for helping me out!

Game crashes right after starting because of an external hard drive. Steam doesn't have the problem; it's your computer or the drive. Just stop using external drives and try a built-in one instead.

I know that hard drives and memory sticks are often a hassle, but I've used this exact computer for months with no trouble at all.
