I've got a Toshiba Satelite P300 which worked perfectly up until recently, but now i turn it on and the screen is just black. Fan is spinning and all indicator lights are on, there is a startup beep but i can't force it to show picture on an external monitor or anything else. I tried disconnecting and then recconecting cmos battery, removing and putting back the RAM modules, but it didnt help. If anybody can help i would be grateful.

Try plugging in another screen or TV and shining a bright light on your PC. If you can see the desktop while it's running, then the screen's backlight might be broken. Turn on the laptop, move around to check different spots, and see if there are loose connections or if the cable inside is faulty.

I tested it out and I think a wire might be disconnected, so I will check again to see if this causes more trouble. It looks like something else is wrong at the same time.
