Does my PC meet the requirements for a secondary streaming PC with a 2PC configuration?
I'm at a crossroads, weighing between a single PC and a two-PC configuration. Many suggest the two-PC setup for better performance, but I'm not ready to purchase two units right now. Instead, I have an older PC that I plan to upgrade for my new build, and I'm curious if it could still serve as a secondary capture machine. I'm concerned about whether its components are up-to-date for this purpose, especially since it's nearly ten years old. I don’t have clear guidance on the requirements, so I was hoping you could assist me!
Neither the CPU nor the GPU from the older system are particularly good for streaming; they can handle 720/60 frames, but you'll need to test it to be sure. This is true unless you obtain a capture card that doesn't perform encoding itself, which would be simpler, though more costly. Upgrading or building a new system would be even pricier.

Of course, this only works if you obtain a capture card that doesn't perform encoding itself, which would be a simpler solution.
