My laptop is an HP EliteBook 8570p. This error isn't always on, but when it shows up, it keeps popping back until I shut the whole thing down and wait a while before turning it back on. Then it might work fine for days without the problem coming back again. Is this because the graphics card is failing? Do I have any fixes?

Hi, if your laptop tries to update the BIOS, try checking if it's clean and if thermal paste is okay too. You can also run a memory test with mem test and an HDD test with HD Sentinel. If you want, take out the bios battery and check that it has about 3 volts. If it shows less than 2 volts, I'll need to replace it. When you have the battery removed, turn off power completely, wait for fifteen seconds to drain all electricity, then put the battery back in and turn on again. After turning it back on, just watch if the problem happens again or not.
