I have a PC running Prime OS with a Custom Android ROM.
Specs: CPU i5 4570, RAM 4GB, SSD 1TB, Graphics not supported by Prime OS (Intel HD 4600) and I own a laptop with an i3 5005u, 4GB RAM, Intel HD 5500 graphics.
I need to transfer my PC game screen to my laptop and then stream it to YouTube.
Do you think connecting an Elgato to the PC will affect my games or PC performance? Or will it slow down my laptop or streaming?
I want to buy a graphics card but also need an Elgato. I can’t buy both at once. Can you help with dual PC streaming? Is it okay to purchase an Elgato or a graphics card for the PC? Please advise!

There are various models of Elgato. If you choose one with hardware acceleration that can handle h264 compression independently, it won’t slow things down.
Purchasing an HDMI splitter to send the same signal to a monitor, your laptop, and a USB-to-HDMI card for your laptop allows capturing video using the laptop’s integrated graphics, which will have minimal effect on performance but will be more affordable.
If you frequently stream content and don’t mind the process, you can consider an Elgato later.
