Hi, I purchased my computer about six months ago. The microphone problem started then. Sometimes it works, other times it shows a green signal with buzzing sounds. I increased the cache from 6MB to 12MB and thought that might have damaged the IC chip. The shopkeeper only gave me a USB adapter, but it didn’t help. The headset is fine, and the audio drivers are updated. The front panel isn’t working, so I’m using the rear one instead. Can I replace the audio chip on the motherboard or should I consider selling my PC? Msi G41m-p25

If the mic is malfunctioning through the USB connection provided by the shop, it's likely the issue lies with the mic itself.

When the mic is behaving poorly through the USB connection provided by the shop, the issue likely lies with the mic itself.
