The process of importing these files affects different configurations in various ways. The first file restores general settings, while the second one is tailored for program-specific adjustments. For certain games, manually setting the GPU type doesn’t apply after importing the second file. If you rely on the first file, you’ll need to use Nvidia Inspector for program-specific changes. The "Export all driver profiles" option seems to handle both global and specific settings together, but its exact behavior depends on how it’s configured. There appears to be no direct way to isolate only global settings in this workflow.

did you check the nvidia forums as this seems like a topic they should understand
did you browse the wiki?
there’s a forum post linked to the guide, but it appears focused on the guide rather than the actual program and hasn’t been updated much.
the website could be useful –
https://www.nvidiainspector.com/
it includes a contact form if you want to reach out.
there’s also a github release page, so it’s hard to know exactly who to ask.

Thank you, I'll check the nvidia sites instead. I have more questions about the details, so I'll move my post there.
