I'm only watching YouTube videos and my GPU locks up using up to 8 GB of memory without reason. Restarting my PC stops this, but after a while it starts again on its own. Right now I can't work because my GPU is overloaded for no apparent cause. The problem began yesterday, but my Task Manager shows only 1% to 5% usage. OCCT is showing the GPU using 50–80% of its memory. I feel the PC is working hard and rendering becomes extremely slow when I try. I just installed new drivers today—what else can I do?

Sorry to hear that, but I might need almost everything. CPU, GPU, RAM, Storage and PSU. I have the 3060, but I'm unsure if it has 8Gbs or not—it could be 6 or 12. It doesn't matter. Open up Task Manager and just list them.

CPU - Intel Core i7 -4790 at 3,60 GHz
GPU - GeForce RTX 3060 with 12 GB memory
RAM - 32 GB DDR3
SSD - 1TB SSDPR-CL 100-960-G3
HDD - 8 TB (Purple)
Is this sufficient?

Although, I need to mention that my operating system is in Polish and I didn't realize earlier that I could check my GPU in the task manager. Now that I do, the task manager says the GPU is only using about 13%, which might have made me think something was wrong. Since OCCT told me my GPU was using 6 GB but the task manager shows it as dedicated up to 13%, it seems like I might have panicked unnecessarily—there really isn't any issue.

I believe there might be an issue, because when I start my PC, the dedicated GPU memory starts at 0.6 GB, but after a couple of minutes it jumps to 6 GB or even 8 GB and remains there.

Investigate for cryptominer presence. Perform malware scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware.

I tend to assume power first before considering other details. What is your PSU wattage?
