Does Bluetooth audio quality decline during gaming?
Hey everyone. All my Bluetooth headphones seem to have this issue, so it probably has something to do with Windows. Every time I play a game that uses my microphone, the audio quality drops. The only workaround I've found is turning off the mic. But that's not ideal because I can't talk while playing online. Is there a way to keep the mic on without affecting performance? Thanks in advance!
Any game that requires a mic.
Mic on all 3 headphones functions properly; audio issues are the only exception.
Headphones used are:
JBL quantum 910
WF-C500
WH-1000XM4
The JBL model is the newest with a dongle included. Using the dongle resolves the issue, though occasional interference still occurs. Switching between surround or 7.1 modes in the JBL software sometimes fixes it. I also tested USB C and USB 3.1 ports, but they all had the same problem.
On Windows 11
RTX 3080
I7 13700KF
32GB 5600 MHZ ram
Use the small speaker icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
Pressing it will display a Windows menu with "Troubleshoot sound problems" and several other options.
Attempt the troubleshooter first.
Proceed through additional menu selections, which may open various audio-related windows, tabs, and settings.
Explore all options thoroughly before altering anything.
Record observations about any discrepancies or unexpected behavior.
Make adjustments that are suitable for your system, changing one element at a time and noting the changes.
Be patient and systematic, consulting documentation as needed.
All right, I faced quite a bit of troubleshooting but it finally worked!
I've addressed the problem you're encountering and ensured it's resolved. Thank you for your patience.
