I'm unsure about choosing between Wine, Winetricks, Playonlinux or Lutris. Setting up Wine can be confusing. You mentioned needing Leawo Player with Java for Blu-ray menus and Office 2019, plus PowerPoint 2019 for its features. Since you already have Office on a disc, it seems you want the full suite rather than just PowerPoint. I don't know which Wine version to try, but I can offer some guidance on getting started.

Their wine Java runs smoothly on Linux by default. Since I don’t have a specific need, let’s focus on the features you’re interested in.

PowerPoint 2019 offers unique transitions, text styles, and shape transformation features that change forms dynamically. Regarding Java on Linux with a Windows program via Wine, there are uncertainties about compatibility. For Wine setup, it’s unclear which GUI to choose or how to configure it effectively. Additionally, I’m confused about the best community configuration for Wine and how to operate it properly, as most guides recommend specific setups that aren’t available.

I don’t support slides since they lack the full range of effects I require. My approach focuses on creating detailed informational videos, which help maintain audience interest through richer visuals. For distribution, I’m currently using Pop! OS.

Terminal Fun!!! If you believe Wine is already set up, skip ahead to the "Verify Install" section below. Setting up Wine on POP! OS is quite simple. Decide which version you need: lscpu | grep "op-mode". If you see both 32-bit and 64-bit listed, proceed accordingly: sudo apt install wine32. If only 64-bit appears: sudo apt install wine64. Check installation: wine --version. Confirm it works: wine notepad.exe. Now we have a confirmed working setup. To run .exe files, follow the same steps as launching notepad.exe previously. I installed Leawo with a basic install using stock Wine. Added Java 8 to resolve the 32-bit JRE issue—sudo apt install openjdk-8-jre. This should get Leawo running, though I can't test DVD or Blu-ray playback since I don't have disks. Regrettably, the 2019 Microsoft Office Suite seems unlikely to work here. They rated it "Garbage" for Ubuntu 20.04, the closest OS to Pop! OS on this list. Source: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p...&iId=37735 Since I don’t have Windows 2019 Office Suite, I can’t verify this myself. If you need assistance with further questions or troubleshooting, feel free to ask. Sorry, my attempts were unfortunately in vain. GL.

This might seem quite unhelpful, but I recently needed to set up a game similar to what you'd do on Windows—executed setup.exe and proceeded smoothly. For the game, I just added its executable to Lutris for easy access from a hub app, though I recall trying to launch it directly with its own file without success. It seems the same approach could work for you, as long as you have the relevant Wine packages installed.

These are sets of tools designed to help manage wine installations. They explain how the system tracks and optimizes performance for wine-related software. The configuration menu offers various settings to customize installation and usage. You might want to explore Lutris or PlayOnLinux for better control.

Just wine plus extra optional tools like gecko, which handles certain .exe dependencies. You might have wine available, but that doesn’t guarantee gecko is installed. It’s not a major concern unless you’re trying to run games via Lutris—adding more runners will gradually cover those missing dependencies. There’s a helpful overview video on starting Lutris and importing Steam or other libraries. Once Lutris detects the games, you can begin using community installers for most if not all titles. TS 2:52 covers the key points.
